After weeks of preparation, the High School Drama Club will perform “The Man Who Came to Dinner”over the next two weekends.
This play is about an arrogant radio personality who got injured at a family’s house and threatens the family to make them his servants for the time being,
“So they basically just have to put up with this man!” Eli Tucker laughs.
“It’s been a while since Shen has put on a show that’s not modern,” Freya Griffin writes.
Cast and Crew members say they have been working hard for the past month and encourage everyone to come to the play the dates include, 10/27 at 7pm, 10/28 at 2pm and 7pm, 11/3 at 7pm, and 11/4 at 2pm and 7pm.
“If people don’t come to the shows we can’t put on a show,” Joseph Furnari explains.
“Every Saturday leading up to this, people have been going in even if they got the max amount of hours they need to work on the stage to make sure it looks good, to make sure it works out.” Rylan Delaney said.
“It will be a little sad not knowing what to do every week.. Also not being able to go into the amazing slayful props closet,” Delaney adds on.
“The main character, our actor, Spencer, is great,” Cora Fredette remarked about cast member Spencer Zambri-Moran who plays Sheridan Whiteside in the play.
“The environment our cast and crew has created- with a gorgeous set and really unique costumes- is one that I’ve adored working with, and it’s such an interesting production that I’d recommend to absolutely everyone!” Griffin exclaims about their work.
“And if you want to see a curmudgeonly old man bully a family for a few hours, I’d come,” Tucker said.
