Students of Shenendehowa are missing Luna the therapy dog who recently passed over the summer.
Luna Cretti was a therapy dog at Shenendehowa High School East. She was brought to school every Thursday by Sharon Cretti, Luna’s owner.
“I honestly can say, she was busy from the minute she walked in here to the minute she left,” says Mrs. Cretti.
Mrs. Cretti and the vet believe that her death was due to heart complications as she was only nine and a half years old.
High Schooler, Christina O’Neill says it helps the school environment to see a dog like Luna in the hallway.
Fairly new student, Taylor Tremaroli says that she only knew Luna for a short period of time but she was always a sweet and friendly dog.
“People got used to her being here on Thursdays so they would go out of their way to come and see her,“ says Mrs. Cretti.
“When I was in the nurse’s office and she was there; it just made my day,” says Hannah Spraker, a senior and Shen.
“She will be missed,” Says Hannah Spraker.
